I ran with Stacey P. at 6:30 this morning and I felt great!  Our course starts at 7th & 500 N.  It goes up 7th to Upland Dr. and then goes East up to Benchview, where we turn North.  At the bottom of Benchview we turn East again and go to Vine St.  Then at Droubay we head North to Smelter where we turn West and run back onto 500 N, to the corner at 7th.

I felt totally fine - pretty strong up the steep part of the hill.  We ran it in 33 min. & some odd seconds; about a 10:45 min./mile pace.

I felt sick Tuesday night and wasn't even going to run Weds.  But I decided to go check out Dark Trail since it hasn't snowed yet.  I stopped to walk a few times and did not feel motivated at all. 

I have been eating a bit of sugar each day because my daughter sent us a ton of German chocolate - so I think that is surely playing a part in my fatigue and lack of drive.  I will not eat anymore until Christmas.

I ran this mile on the track to see how fast I would be able to do it since in my Footlocker race I went through the first mile at 9 min.  I was a little disappointed that I only did it in 8:31 and I felt I was going quite fast! And, I was spent at the end.  Oh well, maybe the elevation really did make a difference.  Also, race day adrenaline must have played a part too.
